Harvesting Solutions: How Question Services Boost Wisconsin Agriculture

Abstract
To ensure the University's resources are accessible to everyone in every county, regardless of Extension staffing, a statewide agriculture question service was established. This service provides research-based responses to inquiries from people across Wisconsin through online forms, email, and phone calls. After a year of public launch, a survey was conducted among those who reached out with agriculture-related questions, asking about their experience and any behavior changes resulting from using the system. This poster highlights the survey results and provides an overview of the types of questions asked. Based on these results, we can improve the system, review the research and resources provided, and develop standardized responses to common questions, which can then be utilized by all those assisting with agriculture questions in the state.
