Abstract
The 2025 Ladies Raising Livestock Conference provided a vital platform for female livestock producers, offering education, networking, and hands-on learning opportunities. Women play an essential role in agriculture, yet they continue to face unique challenges in a historically male-dominated industry. This event aimed to bridge that gap by equipping participants with knowledge in farm financials, veterinary practices, marketing strategies, and adaptive tools for efficiency. A highlight of the conference was the keynote address by Courtenay DeHoff, who emphasized the power of storytelling in agriculture to shift narratives and strengthen community connections. The conference demonstrated significant educational impact, with measurable knowledge gains across sessions, particularly in storytelling, which saw a 48% increase in participant understanding. Economic benefits from the event totaled $246,000, reflecting the growing influence of female producers in the livestock industry. Moving forward, the conference aims to expand outreach, integrate participant-recommended topics, and enhance hands-on learning opportunities to further support and empower women in agriculture.
